I started thinking…are we as project managers - and the delivery team as a whole – ever guilty of pushing things like that which may not be the best, but rather are our own preferences or in our best interest to hype? It can happen, and it can be dangerous…be careful. Let’s consider further…
Be impartial
The key is to always be focused on the end goals of the project. No favoritism, no subjectivity, no behavior that may leave the customer or others questioning your motives. We’re not doctors pushing our best suppliers’ versions of medication. We’re project managers offering the best performance, best solution and best service to our project customers and working in our customer’s best interest to complete their project in accordance with the online project management software schedule we are managing the project against.
